Pájaros vs Ciudadanos: El rio enfrenta a partidarios y detractores de la conservación de las aves

He dejado aquí un link de una noticia que apareció hace pocos días en el diario HOY. Después de leer la noticia me gustaría que dejarais comentarios con vuestra opinión, yo voy a dejar la mía unas líneas mas abajo.

A mí me parece muy bien que se conserven las especies y les dejen su hábitat intacto, pero la gente de Badajoz vemos a diario como están las márgenes del río de suciedad y en un estado de dejadez impresionante y cuando por fin conseguimos que las adecuen para que podamos disfrutar del maravilloso río que pasa por nuestra ciudad, la Junta nos dice que solo podemos disfrutar de unas pocas zonas, pues hay aves protegidas que deben conservarse.

Una buena solución sería dejarles las isletas del río, que es donde suelen estar, y el resto de las zonas para el disfrute ciudadano, pero parece que no están por la labor.

Estoy a favor de la conservación de las especies que hay en la ciudad, pero no a costa de los ciudadanos. Creo que deberían buscar una solución que beneficiara a ciudadanos y aves.

Birdwatching and his impact to tourism

Birdwatching is the observation and study of birds with the naked eye or through a visual enhancement device like binoculars. Birding often involves a significant auditory component, as many bird species are more readily detected and identified by ear than by eye. Most birdwatchers pursue this activity mainly for recreational or social reasons, unlike ornithologists, who engage in the study of birds using more formal scientific methods.

Bird watching tourism can be described as special interest tourism, whereby the tourist chooses a destination based on its suitability for pursuing a special interest/activity.

This activity leave a lot of money in the places where birdwatching is an important type of tourism because usually the profile of people who practise birdwatching is generally high purchasing power, like doctors, architects, etc.

The number of tourist who came to Extremadura for birdwatching is also great and one reason of that is the FIO (International Fair of Ornitologycal tourism).
In this fair, apart of watching birds, we also can talk about our experiencies in this field with experts, about species of birds, or to promote ornithological tourism.

Because of this, Extremadura is in my opinion the best place in Spain for birdwatching.
